There is one and only one, true and living God. God is eternally existent in three distinct persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is the creator, preserver, and ruler of all things. (Isaiah 45:21-22, Jeremiah 10:10, Matthew 28:19 and 2 Corinthians 13:14).

He reigns from His throne in Heaven over His creation. He is perfect in holiness, love, power, knowledge and wisdom. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. He is fatherly in His attitude towards all man (Matthew 5:48, Matthew 6:9, Luke 10:21 and 1 Corinthians 8:6).

Jesus Christ is the infinite God-Man. Our Lord Jesus Christ is God and Man in one Person. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and provided atonement for our sin through His shed blood and death. He was bodily resurrected from the dead, He ascended to the right hand of God the Father, and He will personally return in power and glory (John 1:1-18, Philippians 2:5-11 and Hebrews 1:1-3).

He is the Spirit of God. He inspired holy men of old to write the Scriptures. Through illumination, He enables men to understand truth. He convicts man of sin, calls him to salvation, and affects regeneration. He indwells all believers as God’s assurance of final redemption. He instructs, comforts, empowers, guides and develops Godliness in believers (John 14:16-17,26, 15:26, 16:7-11, Acts 1:8, Romans 8:9-11, 16, and Ephesians 1:13-14).

The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. It is our sole authority for faith and practice. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12 and 2 Peter 1:19-21).

Man was created by God, in the image of God. God created male and female as His crowning work of creation. The gift of gender is thus part of the goodness of God’s creation. In the beginning man was innocent of sin and was endowed by his Creator with freedom of choice. By his free choice man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race. Through the temptation of Satan man transgressed the command of God, and fell from his original innocence whereby his posterity inherited a nature and an environment inclined toward sin. Therefore, as soon as they are capable of moral action, they become transgressors and are under condemnation. Only the grace of God can bring man into His holy fellowship and enable man to fulfill the creative purpose of God. The sacredness of human personality is evident in that God created man in His own image, and in that Christ died for man; therefore, every person of every race possesses full dignity and is worthy of respect and Christian love (Genesis 1:26-30, Isaiah 6:5, Romans 3:23,Ephesians 2:1-22 and Colossians 1:21-22).

Salvation is God’s provision for the whole man, provided freely by the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ on the cross. It is received by all who repent of their sin and place their faith in Jesus Christ. It includes justification, regeneration, sanctification and glorification (John 1:12, 3:16, Romans 5:8 and Ephesians 1:7).

We receive new life from God (John 3:1-8, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 2:20, Titus 3:5-6 and 1 Peter 1:3, 23).

We are put in right standing with God (Romans 3:24, 4:24, 5:1-9 and Titus 3:3-7).

We are set apart for God (John 17:17, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 1 Thessalonians 5:23 and Hebrews 13:12).

We will live forever with God (John 14:13, 2 Corinthians 5:1 and 1 Peter 1:35).

We believe that because man’s salvation is totally an act of God’s grace from beginning to end, the believer is eternally secure (John 10:27-29, 11:25-26, Philippians 1:6, Hebrews 7:25 and 1 John 5:11:13).

The church is made up of all baptized believers in Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ is the Head of the church and carries out the present ministry of the Kingdom of God through the church. The purpose of the existence of the church is to fulfill the great commission. The nature of the church is universal in that it includes all believers of all ages. The expression of the church is seen in the local congregations who come together to worship, pray, study, fellowship, and witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The leadership of the church consists of Pastors who give spiritual oversight and direction to the church and deacons who minister to the needs of the congregation (Matthew 18:20, Romans 12:4-5, Ephesians 2:18-20, Colossians 3:16).

The church observes two ordinances that Christ gave: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism by immersion is the outward demonstration of the inward profession of salvation. The Lord’s Supper symbolically commemorates His death, proclaims His salvation, and anticipates His second coming (Matthew 28:19-20, Luke 22:19-20, Romans 6:1-5 and 1 Corinthians 11:23-30).

The Kingdom of God was inaugurated at the first coming of Jesus Christ, the King. All believers in Christ have come under His rule and are part of the Kingdom. The consummation of the Kingdom will occur at the second coming of Jesus Christ (Mark 1:14-15, Luke 4:43, 9:2, 1:7-10, 2 Peter 3:7-13 and Revelation 20:1-13, 23).

The church is called to proclaim the Gospel in every nation, making disciples. It is the privilege and responsibility of every Christian to be a personal witness to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Every ministry of the church should ultimately contribute to the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 1:17 and Acts 1:8).

We affirm that the term ‘marriage’ has only one meaning and that is marriage sanctioned by God which joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture (Genesis 2:15-24, Mark 10:6-9, Ephesians 5:22-33). God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and a woman who are married to each other. God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman (Proverbs 5, Matthew 5:27-30, 1 Corinthians 7:1-9). Any form of sexual immorality, such as adultery, fornication, homosexuality, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, pornography or any attempt to change one’s sex, or disagreement with one’s biological sex, is sinful and offensive to God (Leviticus 18:22-30, Romans 1:16-32, 1 Corinthians 7:1-2, Hebrews 13:4). To preserve the function and integrity of the church as the local Body of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to the church members and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by the church in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers, must abide by and agree to this Statement on Marriage and Sexuality and conduct themselves accordingly (Ephesians 5:25-27). God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ (John 3:16, Romans 10:9, 1 Timothy 2:4 and 2 Peter 3:9). Every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with scripture nor the doctrines of the church (Genesis 1:26-27, 5:1-2, 9:6, Psalm 17:15, Ecclesiastes 7:20).
